Texas Czechs: Rooted in Tradition

This traveling exhibition will be on display in Pilsen Hall on CCMH's third floor from January 26 - April 25, 2015. Admission is free with museum entry: $6 for adults, $3 for children 6 & under, and free for CCMH Members.


Opening Reception: January 24, 2015, 6:00-8:00pm. Free; RSVP required to attend.


Several other special events will be held throughout the run of the exhibition to showcase aspects of traditional Texas Czech culture, including food, clothing and music. Watch this Calendar and our Facebook page for event dates and times!

Conversation with Theresa Parker, author of Jimmy Brosch Remembers Twenty Legendary Texas Czech Polka Bands. This is the first in a series of free events held in conjunction with the exhibit Texas Czechs: Rooted in Tradition.


Yale Slavic Chorus Performance

CCMH is thrilled to announce an upcoming performance by the Yale Slavic Chorus, Yale's oldest all-women's vocal ensemble, as part of the group's Houston tour. Join us for this celebration of Slavic music and traditional costumes! Tickets are $10 each.



Museum District Day for Zone 2 Museums

Stop by the CCMH and other Zone 2 Museums for special activities. It's also the last chance to see our exhibit Texas Czechs: Rooted in Tradition.


The last Friday of every month is Free Movie Night at CCMH! The nights start at 7:30pm and include free popcorn, cash bar, socializing and a different movie every time. See you there!
