FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 2019

Czech Egg Decorating Class

10 AM - 12 noon

Flameless egg decorating (blue ink method and straw/decorative ribbon application). Each participant will complete 4 eggs and learn about Czech Easter customs and traditions.

Czech Bead Design Class

2 PM - 4 PM

Participants will learn how to make Angels and lace like stars from Czech hollowed beads. This class is a sequence to the class taught last year with a new twist!

Historical Lecture

Lecture 6 PM till 8 PM

History of Glass industry in Northern Bohemia 

 SATURDAY, JUNE 29, 2019

Czech Jewelry Crafting Class

10 AM - 12 noon

Make your own jewelry from Czech beads (one necklace and two bracelets). Participants will learn about the history of glass bead making in Northern Bohemia.

Traditional Czech & Slovak Doll Making Class

2PM - 4 PM

Traditional doll making: Participants will learn how to make dolls from fiber materials and dress them up with ribbons to replicate Czech and Slovak traditional costumes. This workshop also provides a short lecture about the history of traditional costumes in Czech lands and Slovakia. Participants will be able to view original costumes in the Museum's collection before or after the workshop.
