Description

Part one of the Chodské trilogy, consisting of Paní komisarka, Osmačtyřicátníci and Lůsy. This series is intended to describe images of the Chodské countryside before 1848 and during the turbulent period of that revolutionary year. This part follows the parish priest Fastr and the writer Božena Němcová as they try to prevent a dispute between Czech inhabitants and German immigrants over a part of the former royal forest.
