Liberation of Southwest Bohemia by the U.S. Army, May 1945 - Told in Photographs
This exhibition presents rare archival photographs capturing the U.S. Army’s liberation of Southwest Bohemia in May 1945. As one of the last regions in Europe to be freed from Nazi control, this area witnessed both joyful reunions and tragic remnants of war. Through the lens of American soldiers and Czech civilians, these images reveal moments of celebration.
