Recipe for Czech raspberry sponge cake, Bublanina

A famous Czech coffee house that was founded in 1902 and served many well-known patrons such as Albert Einstein. Serving a wide array of savory meals like scrambled eggs and omelets to sweet breakfasts, cakes, and pastries, you can also enjoy there the tasty Czech dessert, called Bublanina, a traditional Czech sponge cake which is often served with breakfast or eaten as a dessert. The cake is made with fruits like cherries, raspberries, and peaches. 

Ingredients

2 cups of Raspberries (substitute cherries or peaches if desired)

1/2 cup of sugar

1/2 cup of soft flour  

3.5 tbsp of oil

1 tsp of vanilla sugar

1 tsp of baking powder

2 egg whites


Bake for 30 - 40 minutes at 320° F.
