Reciprocal Membership Networks

For Individual, Dual, and Family Members, Time Travelers is a reciprocal membership network for historical museums and societies throughout the US. The Missouri Historical Society (MHS) created the program in 1998 so that members of historical institutions could receive exclusive benefits and privileges at museums and historical sites nationwide. Participating museums in the Houston area include the Houston Fire Museum and the Heritage Society.

For Young Professional and Supporting Members, in addition to Time Travelers, a valid ROAM logo on your current membership card(s) allows you to enjoy free admission to the ROAM museums and other benefits as determined. Participating museums in the Houston area include the Center for African American Military History, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Holocaust Museum Houston, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, and the Menil Collection.

For Sustaining Members and beyond, a valid NARM logo on your current membership card(s) allows you to enjoy free admission to NARM museum and other benefits as determined by each museum individually. The NARM Association is an extensive network of hundreds of cultural institutions across Bermuda, Canada, the Cayman Islands, Mexico, and the United States. It connects their memberships for unprecedented access to arts, science, history, botanical gardens, and more. Participating museums in the Houston area include the Heritage Society, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Houston Museum of African American Culture, Houston Center for Photography, the Menil Collection, Asia Society Texas, Holocaust Museum Houston, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and Children’s Museum Houston.

If you’re traveling around the country or even the world, you may find these special networks of great use! Here is the complete list of museums and sites you can visit with your reciprocal benefits:
