The CCMH Collection

The Czech Center Museum Houston (CCMH) is dedicated to presenting the history, culture, and art of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Museum’s collection focuses on Czech and Slovak history in Texas and beyond, including costume, art, music, immigration, and cultural traditions. This work is carried out through interactive exhibitions, collections stewardship, educational programming, and public events.

Donate to the Collection

By accessioning an item or collection into its permanent holdings, the Czech Center Museum Houston commits significant resources to properly document, protect, store, conserve, and make these materials available for educational and research purposes for current and future generations. The Museum upholds professional standards to ensure the safety, authenticity, and long-term preservation of all historical and cultural artifacts in its care.

At this time, the Czech Center Museum Houston is not accepting donations of objects or materials for the permanent collection. This temporary pause allows the Museum to focus on the care, documentation, and preservation of existing holdings and to ensure responsible stewardship of the collection.

While object donations are currently on hold, CCMH remains deeply committed to preserving and sharing Czech and Slovak heritage. Support for this work is welcomed through financial contributions to the Collections Care Fund, which directly supports conservation, storage, cataloging, and preservation efforts.

If you have questions about future donation opportunities or would like to support the CCMH collection in other ways, please email czech@czechcenter.org or call 713-528-2060.
